Strathfield Who's Who
Public Profile

In my "previous" life I studied Fine Art (Sculpture) and circuitously became an international performer for 20 years, residing mostly in the UK/EU as well as New York and San Francisco. I'm now happily living a much quieter life with my husband and daughter here in Sandringham.
I have only recently moved to Bayside from the UK and am very much enjoying the seaside life.
This year I have been adventuring into Cold Water Swimming (actually it's not that cold yet, but I'm practising!) as I am very interested in the benefits of cold exposure and just love the beach in the early mornings.
I am a long-time meditator in the Mindfulness/ Buddhist tradition, an avid reader and researcher and besotted art-lover.
Kalki Henenberg Hypnotherapy
I work with people with sub-clinical issues, including anxiety, shyness, low confidence, exam-stress, chronic pain, IBS, menopause symptoms, low mood, habits and addictions and much more.
My approach is tailored to individuals, understanding that every person is unique. I draw mostly from my CBH and Art Therapy training, a wealth of life experience, as well as continued professional development in psychology and TEAM CBT. It is important to me to keep up to date with the current research in psychology and neuroscience. Similarly, I am committed to continued professional development and study in hypnosis and hypnotherapy.

Distinguished and Famous people from Strathfield
🍪 William Arnott
William Arnott retired to Strathfield in 1899 after building the biscuit business that carried his surname into Australian kitchens. The Scottish-born baker had developed his enterprise in Newcastle, with coastal shipping and later the Hawkesbury railway bridge helping open the Sydney market. By 1894 the workforce in Sydney and Newcastle had grown to almost 800. Arnott left management to his sons but supported plans for the Homebush factory, built after his death in 1901. His Strathfield years were the closing chapter of a life of baking, manufacturing and philanthropy; the district's later industrial connection continued through the family business.
🎨 Tony Costa
Strathfield artist Tony Costa won the 2019 Archibald Prize with his portrait of fellow artist Lindy Lee. Council formally recognised the local resident's achievement after his work was selected from 919 entries. It followed Archibald finalist appearances in 2015, 2017 and 2018, giving the eventual win a substantial lead-up. Costa studied at the City Art Institute and had also won the Paddington Art Prize for landscape painting in 2014. His career moves between portraiture and landscape, with representation in several of Australia's major art competitions. The award placed a Strathfield-based painter at the centre of a national conversation about portraiture.
📚 Bill Daniel
Bill Daniel attended St Patrick’s College in Strathfield from 1937 to 1941 before continuing at Riverview and entering the Jesuit novitiate in Victoria. His long education included classical languages, philosophy and theology. As a teacher he later specialised in moral theology, writing on social justice, Aboriginal land rights, war and medical ethics. He became known for clear, economical arguments and for encouraging students to consider competing perspectives. The Strathfield connection belongs to his substantial early schooling, before the seventeen years of religious and academic training that prepared him for that teaching career.
